Young Users Update Social Media After…
A new study has found that 36 % of people under 35 admit to checking Facebook, texting, or Tweeting right after sex.
The survey found that guys are twice as likely as women to use social media after sex, and that iPhone users are three times more likely to check Twitter or Facebook after sex than Blackberry users.
Retrevo study: “Do you Tweet/text/check-Facebook often?

Shocking? As we living in time when sex is not tabu, where people intent to be more open, it is just a question of good manners or EI rather then controversy. Also this research shouldn’t be misunderstood, it is not we are changing, it is becouse people feel more free and anonymouse, as well they intent to send those updates just to specific person or closed group of people. It is not public statement. And also minor % seems to be build mainly from under 35 male with iPhone. That should already build the picture of our subject. It is not question of social trend, rather of “showing-off” subject.
But I would extract some more valuable data from that graph. The age diffrences and social conventions comming with them. How strong they infuance us. What older people will find rude and unapropiate, young people seems to find acceptable behavior. Morale might be even, but the way we see it has changed.
As per previus paper: Lack of established conventions (1996) is resulting here?
Let me support this with one phrase of very well know sociologist:
“Extrapolating from this study, the authors of the ‘broken windows’ theory
argued that any sign of social disorder is a community, even the appearance of a broken window, encouragas more serius crime to flurish.
One unrepaired broken windows is a sign that no one cares, so breaking more windows – that it, commuting more serius crimes- is a rational response by criminals to this situation of social disorder. As results, minor acts of deviance can lean to a spiral of crime and social decay (Felson 1994).”
